Earlier today, I heard my mum and sister talking about people we know doing stupid things after breaking up with their girlfriends/boyfriends.
After that, when mum and I were moving furniture into the house, I said to her:
“Aren’t you glad, Mum, that the only people I’m emotionally attached to are fictional characters?”
She was laughing so hard that she couldn’t lift up the drawers we were carrying.

I honestly fucking hate getting secondhand embarrassment from a character in movies and books
and i’m just sitting there like

This happens to me a lot.
Whenever I watch a character have something embarrassing happen to them, I have to physically leave the room, which confuses my family to no end.
